Hello.
Today we will be talking about rest.
Not sleeping, but days or moments of not doing anything .
For some, it may be boring which is why screens are popular and
in everyones hands all day long.
But to truly understand rest we must talk first of the toddler
or young child.
Resting comes natural to them. They have a schedule where
they ( for the most part) are active and moments where they are sacked out
on the couch reading a book or napping.
They sit in silence, inventing scenarios with their toys in their heads.
Boring may be a thing too, but boring is good for them.
It trains their imagination and helps them to learn self
soothing ( what adults call *care* ). The ability to be accountable
and capable.... on the way to emotional maturity.

My hope for the start of this week was to fast track a healthier lifestyle push
but to be honest I was just too busy having St. Patty's Day treasure hunts and Popcorn parties,
eating pizza and chicken tenders and hiking the property.
Sadly, the time with grands always comes to an end too short but this Gaga
knows after tidying up the house...... I have to rest.
Sit all cozy, no noise, after an everything shower with a nutritious
meal and a chance to unwind.
Which I what I am doing right now.
I am under the red light, pups in my lap and
I am journaling, breaking my 18 hour fast with egg salad and lemon tea with honey.
It is my intent to share this bit of my life so you know that it is normal
to do so. The world rewards doing more but I am here to say
that there are times when less is healthier in the long run.

Speaking of everything showers....
I promised I would share products that I have tried and tested over the
past year with you and what I thought of them.
First off...
I stopped using conventional shampoos and conditioners.
My hair is very long and fine and I have a lot of it but
it can also look sparse...
In my attempts to refine my life and remove unnecessary junk
I was steered to using this product:
It makes my hair soft, it actually feels like it did as a child.
No residue, no irritation.
I wash twice a week only.
I love it.
( you can see my how it makes my hair fuller in the side bar photo)
I suggest getting both the shampoo/ conditioner and the bamboo holder.
It sits in my shower and dries completely out between uses.
Biggest change in my hair in ages and it is so worth it!
You get 100 washes out of a bar so it is lasting too and no
ugly plastic bottles.
Give it 2 washes to strip out the residue left by old shampoos and conditioners
before you judge it. I promise it is worth every penny.
