365 / 365

Hi Friends!

It is late morning and I just sat down to write.

It has been busy with chicken chores plus we had a propane delivery

as well as maintenance to our generator.

I am cold to the bone!

( the gas guy is from our old town so I get the scoop

from him when he comes up here )

Today is New Years Eve.

As usual, we will celebrate on the patio wishing the flocks, pups and

Lucy & her friends & family a wonderful New Year after

a delicious supper.

End it with being cuddled up with our dogs and watching the ball drop.....maybe, if I

can stay up that long!

THIS.

Oh I am not just saying goodbye to this past year ( though it was a fine one).

I myself, am saying goodbye to the past 5 years.

All of it was one long lesson that I have learned everything I needed to

to get me here- here where my happiness is not a goal but lived every day.

Happily I am joined by many people, some old friends, some new who

feel this way as well.

There are so many reasons, but for now I am just going to

say so long!

Let us talk of the fresh , clean new year with 365 bright beautiful days

ahead of us to fill in with every joy we can find.

Oh & I want to talk to you about the Pantone color of the year for 2026.

Now, many people feel that this is white, which of course is the absence of all color.

Not me.

It is warm but neutral and the perfect replacement for the stark white  trend in the home.

It is all season, all decor styles and classy as heck.

It may be white, but it is just so much more.

I love it.

It is creamy and rich and the perfect Winter white.

I will be painting at least one room this color this year for sure!

So here we are at the end of one year, dangling our feet into the next.

I am grateful to everyone who is in my life now.

Thank you.

If I had to give any advice it would be this:

Bless you all!

Have a great day and I will see you next year!

xoxo

Hear me out and know that good is all around us...it starts with you.

You are HERE.

You are here at this juncture in the story of our lives for a very

important reason....

You bring compassion and light to this world that very much needs it.

This is no longer about who you voted for- it isn't.

This is no longer about being selfish and bratty... demanding

others to pay attention to you as you stamp your feet.

No.

This is about us all working together as citizens of a great country,

full of pride for it and for the uniqueness of one another to offer

security, kindness and belonging to those who have been pushed

aside by the babies who whine, demand and threaten.

Don't you get it by now?

This experiment will continue as long as you allow it to.

Some may have to eat crow, apologise or at the very least

acquiesce that they may have been wrong.

The slop we were fed and the lies that were told to us at first were

not our faults to believe. How can people be such monsters?

Oh well, sadly after years of paying attention, one understands

how it can happen. How in the end, the lies will be unearthed

and the truth exposed.

Some, like those who turn a blind eye to the Canada ostrich farm tragedy

will always find a way to*logically* reason for evil.

Their *intelligence* and dept papers proudly displayed upon

their walls elevates them over us simpletons- don't ya know?

I am sure that there is a reason for the inhumane evil that happened....

sure Jan.

When the narrative does not fit ones political bent,

people will move away from issues that are not political- even ones

they will champion any other day.

************************************

Good Morning.

Thank you to all who supported my post on the Ostriches.

( 2 posts back)

We can not bring back those poor souls, but we can do better.

How? By not allowing that sort of tearany close to us here.

That means  government ( and nosey Nellies)

staying out of our lives and allowing us to live as

we always have...free from overreach.

No one has more rights than you do.

No citizen and no non-citizen.

That is a fact that some want us to dismiss.

They want to use guilt, shame or strong arm tactics to

make us bend to a global will perpetrated by

outsiders and oligarchs .

Yes- I have links and proof and all sorts of things that feckless

weirdos will focus upon rather than what is right in front of them.

But I will never give them out without people proving to me they actually tried

to look it up themselves, you know... with the machine we all have access to.

Look it up yourself.

Anyway, thank you.

I pray the sad lessons learned will motivate others to stand up to evil

and this will never happen again.

***

That said, not everyone is in a good place now.

The days get shorter, we hide inside sooner and the holidays we once

remembered with happiness and cheer often can be sad memories

to those who are going through hard times....

November itself can be quite dark and gloomy.

The weather is changing, pushing in is the cold that will blanket us for the next season.

We may also shut down and want to isolate.

Let me tell you, I understand.

I have known times like these where I would pretend to be *fine*

and maintain a *normal* facade but inside I just wanted to disappear.

People can be so cold & cruel and selfish & yes, mean.

The healing happens when we stop listening to them.

Taking back power can be tricky.

First you will be gaslit and talked unkindly about - mostly behind your back.

Do not care.

Then they will start telling you what to do & how you should act.

Whatever. Do what you want anyway.

Hopefully they will learn that in order to have you in their lives

they will have to accept all of you.

The love and the caring , the grace and the light.

All parts of you.

( most folks like this are just so messed up about their own worth

they can not process yours)

Be you.

Your goodness will overshadow their nastiness.

November can be a dark month for sure.

Keep the faith that you are the child of a King.

You are worthy. You are loved.

Raise your head and understand that.

And if you ever forget, I will be here to remind you.

We are the reflections of what is good and right in a dark world right now.

It was not a natural occurrence , no.

It was created by evil.

Know that you are a part of the light bringers.

We will go on to heal others in a time where the darkness was brought in

to destroy.

We are either of the world or a visitor here learning how to navigate it all.

It can be so overwhelming to find our truth.

Real truth, not what others wish for us to digest as such.

I implore you all to find yours and with it, add in a bit of compassion, grit and

spunk so that you may navigate this difficult world with a lighter step.

Most who have been reading this blog for over a decade know that I have

been speaking about this for forever....

We are HERE. We are at the fork in the road where you must choose :

light or dark...good vs evil.

You may stumble, and you may make mistakes but as you move

forward you will find your footing, I assure you.

Now, let us have a wonderful week, a week where we

grow in the knowledge that life is happening and we are necessary

- all of us- to participate in it.

That is what makes life worth living.

crockpot squash & a Sunday evening chat...

Oh I believe that I can write now... I have calmed down a bit.

Friends, the subject matter of my last post may have been intense,

but I can only sit back for so long while terrible

things happen while not saying my peace.

Thank you for being supportive of that.

***

Life in November has been interesting.

It is now Mrs. Claus season and I an humbled to

be that part in everyones Christmas story that I meet as such.

Lots to get done, costuming mended, cleaned and added to...

and my health has been a major focus for me.

When I work, I like to be in the best shape I can be.

Purchasing a simple portable treadmill has made the recovery

period of my knee injury so much easier.

A small trip is planned between performances in the next few weeks,

Thanksgiving, Family Christmas and Christmas Day too...

a whole lot to be planning for... as the house necessitates attention this

time of the year as well.

Is anyone else having increased rodent issues already?

In the house and the coops, they have been tenacious.

Maybe a sign of a cold winter season ahead?

This was my 3rd annual visit to my favorite church Christmas fair.

This year I found a wonderful new creche for my grandchildren to

play with, a huge glass vintage ball, a needle pointed Vermont Country Store pillow

and some darling ornaments.

It was such a fun way to kick off the holiday season.

The foggy warm water cooler air mornings of November will soon

make way for colder weather to come through.

And with every blast I so want to hide under layers of warmth,

drink hot beverages and never come out.

But as I get used to it, forcing my way through the days, I appreciate

it and welcome the changes.

This week seemed to move very fast.

I must remember to be in the moment more than focusing on the past or future.

That was one lesson that I learned this summer.

**

I love squash and it is plentiful now at the farms.

I keep it in a cool dark place so I can enjoy it all winter but cooking it can

be challenging.

Thank goodness for cooks better than I!

Genius!

Now I can get to making the soups, puddings and roasted veggies

so much quicker.

I was able to spend time with a few farmer friends this week.

How fortunate I am to live in such a beautiful community that grows

some of our food.

The talks were slow, we barely looked at our phones as we chatted

how life has affected us....for farmers no matter what happens in the

world they still get up at 3 to milk cows- and they would have it no other way.

I like that way of thinking.

This  photo was taken at one of the farms on my *farm tour* Friday.

That gorgeous sun still greening up the plants even as the energies fade.

For those like me who needed to read this on a Sunday evening....

Tomorrow is the beginning of a fresh week.

If you stay in the moment, it will be a series of wins strung together.

It will be purposeful, it will be glorious and it will be rememberable .

We are in our healing era... mind, body & soul.

Have a lovely evening.

No more.

Friends.

I am not inclined to post things like this.

However... there comes a time where one must say No.

I was following this story for a year, hoping that common sense would

prevail...that and humanity and compassion.

Instead we see this... the aftermath of a corrupted society.

yes, and if you think this sort of thing is not on it's way here

I am sorry to say you are so misguided.

Most people I know are good people.

They will read this and be as enraged as I am.

This is an atrocity but more than that, imagine the kinds of people who

could ever take part in this.

So I say to you all today, THIS is coming here.

It is everywhere on this globe.

The evil I warned you all that was coming.

Be the light.

Stop listening to the paid off news ( usually by big pharmaceutical)

stop hating on neighbours and relatives who may actually be right.

Maybe they were right all along...

Maybe parts of what they were saying were right but you stopped listening.

You shut them down, mocked them, threw  them from your life.

Maybe they  were/are right.

And you sit on your thrones of arrogance and finger pointing while

it all burns down.

The discernment is lacking in so many.

This poor man says what many of us are feeling right now.

WATCH THIS - HEARTBREAKING

How do we get people to stop listening to what they are being force fed and

use their hearts to understand that the world we knew is quite different

than it is now.

Over just the past few years we watched as our liberties eroded in the freest

nation in the world.

What is happening in London & Canada is well on its way here.

But some just want to plant themselves on their soap boxes

and never give an inch.

Why were they slaughtered?

Well, I know a few reasons.

If you are still thinking that this was justified....

ask yourself why if the flock was deemed recovered would they then kill them.

Why, if scientists were at the precipice of using this discovery to help

us understand and eradicate this disease or manage it properly

benefiting all birds would they then end this study by culling them all?

You know why.

Heartbreaking and unnecessary but truly evil & wicked.

This my friends is coming here.

This overreach of government.

It is here actually and many of you vote it in time and time again.

Your blind stupidity is getting tiring.

Your malignant search to be relevant is what is wrong.

No morals, no values, right is wrong, wrong is right, support whatever

they tell you, cut off family......

I am sickened by this whole thing and never wanted to

say anything, just write my cute little blog ( as some call it) and

sit in my feelings...

One day people like me will start to speak up.

Those who just wanted to keep the peace, not make waves,

we were forced to.

My day is today I suppose.

I have sat and watched good people get torn down, people

lose jobs, get pummelled by people who have no idea what is happening.

Truly happening.

People, the conspiracy theorists are not wrong about a lot of what is actually

happening. Have you figured this out yet?

Lift your heads above the smoke and mirrors and start seeing what

the reality is .

In Canada, in England, in New York.....

All over the world the change is happening.

Are we just to sit here and accept it?

Not me.

I have had it .

Today was enough for me to stop pretending that

it is okay to just sit and watch as injustice happens.

Today I will pray.

I will realise that even me... this person who never wanted to

get mixed up in all of this is done with the bullies of the feckless .

You are playing into the hands of the evil.

Using their words to confuse.

Do not worry... I am fine.

In fact I have many things happening right now in my life

that support a healthier, happier me.

I may have reached my limit with the selfish & stupid of the world,

but I continue to have hope in the strong ones who have stood up

for us all over this time.

I may not be that strong...yet.

I am grateful for them and for the bravery to finally say no.

No, this is not okay.

No....

Please know that I will post later with more suitable content for

this fall weekend.

I had to stand up for what I feel is a great miscarriage of justice.

An abomination.

A sin against nature.

Beef stew Monday

I have never understood many things...

like daylight savings time and what time is it really?

My brain just can not adjust.

So these days when  the time does change I am a bit off.

I have been a bit off anyway so I am more than a bit off.

Yesterday we took a drive up to the north coast of Mass.

to visit new friends and their wonderful restaurant.

I only ever order fish and chips when I can have GF

and they have been making it GF since 1914.

So I was in good hands.

The company was even better than the food.

Standing in the kitchen of a 1800 home by the sea, beautifully maintained

that just felt so cozy and having someone pray over me was

a changing moment.

As  we chatted I was so interested in her amazing story

and how they live such a simple life yet fuller than most people

I know of.

I have missed being with a mentor -

someone who is before me in time with wisdom

to share...

Saying goodbyes were hard but it is a long drive back.

We are hoping for a visit  from them this winter

On the way home I just kept thinking of what she said to me.

I suppose I will be thinking of it for a long while.

I can't count the hours that I have spent in my old

kitchen listening to, visiting and caring for others.

Kitchens are the heart of the home.

It is where we all grew up by our mothers sides

some of us emulating her cooking or doing the ironing...

What important years in ones life.

But....

Do people even care about such things anymore?

Do integrity and values, wholesomeness and wisdom even matter anymore?

I sat in silence on the way back.

In my lifetime it has changed so much.

We honoured our elders and loved them deeply.

We protected our families as much as we could from

a world bent upon breaking them.

Now it seems no one actually cares for family as much as

they care for what is trending on TikTok .

We lost the golden thread to our history by allowing the

outside world to creep in , eroding morals.

Morals to me are the building blocks of humanity.

Anyhow...

That was my Sunday.

I just put up a huge crockpot of beef stew.

I sauté the meat in a skillet and transfer it to the pot with just an onion,

potatoes, carrots spices and bayleaf .

Simple.

Mondays I also do laundry, a bit of paperwork and boil up eggs for lunches.

I set the house right for the rest of the week.

But that is also done each night before bed- most nights anyway.

I have spoken about this, putting your kitchen to bed and I do believe

that it makes a huge difference in ones day.

***

God has been working on my heart lately, placing just the right

people in my path to help me onward.

I pray that you all have a good week.

Blessings,

Raven
