Immune Boosting Soup
By The Herb Shed©

This is a time tested recipe that is yummy yet loaded with so many necessary nutrients that keep your whole body happy & boosts the immune system.
Remember….you should always use organic and/or locally seasonal produce & ingredients. You can add/ subtract many elements as well.
Nutrient dense is the goal as we get all of our nutrients from our food.

Ingredients:
Remember, there are no measurements!
Make as much or as little as you need.
{ It freezes well too!}
Seasonal produce
{think the rainbow & think out of  the box as I use apples, cranberries quite often}
Organic broth { I use veggie}
{you can start it with meat, onions or onions & beans & butter or olive oil}
It is great with & without meat.

I always use onions, garlic, tumeric, red pepper flakes, local raw honey.
I add things like tart cherry juice, ginger even herbal teas to add healing qualities to the soup. It is adjusted every time I make it for our specific needs.

I also will top with cheeses & nuts / dried fruits or serve with crusty bread for a heartier meal. It is super over rice as well.
Always fresh fruit & green salad.

It is important to remember that there are no rules!
 I look forward to seeing all your variations!

  3. Just found your lovely blog last night along with this recipe or suggestion of one. It is now started and simmering. Going to try a couple of organic apples left over from applesauce I made. Soup making is one of my favorite things to center me and to eat, especially on these grey days of late Fall. Thank you for sharing.
