Cleaning with clean products & a simple side salad.

Good Friday Morning!

I awoke to  the first thunder storm of the year!

It was wonderful.

Let's talk cleaning products:

Things change.

I used to loyally use Grove to ship me clean

products every month.

I ditched Grove mainly because they added in so many extra

fees that it was no longer a real option for me.

There are so many other wonderful options that you can

get from Amazon or even TJ Maxx.

I switched back to Seventh Generation

( which was the first line of clean products I

had ever used!)

because they are still clean & cost effective.

Nelly's can be found at TJ's for a heavily discounted price.

Biokleen is awesome for pet stains.

Bon Ami is excellent for soap rings and counter stains.

All of these are great but NOTHING beats fresh air and sunshine!

My gramma would say that if the sun could flood the room it was clean.

I do believe she was on to something.

The past few days have been perfect open the window weather days.

This past week was the most perfect for doing just that!

Now we do not have a clothes line but I do have a fence

around the patio so I lugged the quilts & rugs to the fence and let them

dry in the warm spring sunshine.

Long bright spring days are wonderful for cleaning

but also for having supper outside.

Tis the season for grilling.

I am always looking for something new & simple to serve

with whatever we are grilling up.

Mom would make Waldorf salad for us.

This is a beautiful  version.

Great for guests too.

I thought I would share this tick oil spray recipe.

I have been bitten 3 times this season and found a bunch on me & my

pets. This has worked in the past for me .

You can find all of the ingredients on Amazon.

Just be sure to check yourselves every time you come inside.

Have a super Friday!

xoxo

Troll time

This post is for the trolls who just can't stop

being...well, trolls.

Fiona, yes I mean you... read on.

There is a generation who believes that this box ( internet) is

the lunch room of society and they can

dictate who can sit at their table or not.

As they lost their grip on reality and became entrenched in their ideologies

they became the worst kind of Mrs. Kravits/ Olsen's ever.

Sticking their noses in others business, spreading gossip and

becoming as ugly outside as they were obviously hiding inside.

Time was not good to them.

For their inability to actually socialise and connect with

others in a normal healthy way has caused them to have one of two outcomes:

1. To choose to learn how to grow and spread their light

even when they disagree with how others live theirs

2. To grow angry, resentful and mean, bullying others

to side with their selfish viewpoints.

Sadly, I have known too many type twos, and a subset of the 2 type..

those who have been bullied and are afraid to push back.

I have seen type twos self destruct.... the ugly inside eventually

becomes the skin they live in.

Their world becoming smaller and smaller.

Sad really.

Mom would say to be extra kind to them because they need it most.

Which is why she most certainly

is an angel in heaven at the foot of God right now.

I so want to be like her... I try every day.

When mean people start spreading untruths and hate it is

tough to show mercy.

Society is such a simmering pot of turmoil now.

I have no idea if it will ever calm down.

So the only person I can control is me.

&

I will continue to be kind.

Despite hate being shown to me.

Those spewing ugly untruths will come to find themselves

the loneliest souls, unable to feel joy or light.

I refuse to participate in their

narratives, their season of hate, their labels and inability to

discuss hard things only to attack and malign others.

While passive -aggressively saving the world.

I will also not be quiet anymore.

Now....

let me actually post today's loveliness

for my beautiful followers.

See you on the next post!
