Snow cream & the Olympics ! Yay!

Good Morning!

Well was I shocked to find out that some Olympic sports have started!

I have always loved watching them especially the ice skating.

But I am also watching Lindsey Von and her attempts at 41 and with a pretty

intense knee injury to compete .

( yes, the superbowl is also a thing and I will get to that as well)

Anyway it will be on my TV all day today as I prep for the nasty freeze  that

is coming through. Hoping & praying that this is the last bad shot of colder than cold for

this season. The sun angle is starting to get pretty intense so

my fingersarecrossed!

Last evening we had date night.

These are the Falls in the town closest to us.

How adorable!

The sunset on our way there... something about a Winter sunset

and the orangy- pink colors...

Supper was scallops.

I have been craving them all winter.

( & tea ( I bring my own honey- lol))

It is Keto & wheat free, but this restaurant has a couple keto meals that are

safe for me.  Nothing is better than finding a new restaurant that I can trust.

( Viking has homemade mozzarella )

Yesterday my beautiful Blue(berry) and August ventured out of the coop to take a walk

in the paths I chipped out of the ice. It has been a long winter so far for them but

August has healed nicely. I just need to get some weight on her.

Boiled eggs and love <3

This cold has inspired me to plant a few things in the outside coop this year.

Pots of herbs in the ground and hanging pots too.

Maybe even a new roosting bench and some grass.

They have been doing so well being cooped up.

They deserve it.

My weekly  visit to the farm yesterday of course led me to the cow barn

where there have been many births.

These babies were so sweet and so warm!

After picking up my milk I  had to get home and dig out what ice had melted

before the deep freeze.

But  boy was I glad to have spent part of my morning

in that barn with that farmer talking about life.

About what truly matters.

My life is not about what is trending on the internet or what

people are screaming at me to have an opinion over.

It is about real interactions with people having daily struggles and

knowing that there are people who will absolutely pray for the, sending out

positive energies and love into the universe in their name.

To be thought of while going through tough times is a blessing.

There is also the knowledge that someone loves you enough to do that.

We are so much more than what is trying to drive us apart.

###

Thiis weekdend we will be getting a fresh coating of snow.

So I want to do this ...

We used to go to a snow festival every year when I was small

where they would do this and also pour maple syrup on the snow .

I loved it and I also wondered why more people did not do this!

Better than *ice cream* in my opinion.

Here's to your weekend!

However you celebrate it......

I am here if anyone one of you needs prayers today.
