Thursday.
Hello.
I have had a few days to work inside, you know, de-cluttering, Refining
( word of the year) and sifting through things. When my grandson was here last he
was going through my recipe books ( the ones with pictures) and loving it.
I noticed that I had not gone through that shelf in the kitchen in years.
So today I did, filtered out books that I no longer think
are useful to me and piled them in the car to bring to the two
free libraries in town.
now grace the kitchen shelf and I can actually see what I have now.
My thought are that I may post the recipes to what I will be making
that week in upcoming blog posts, complete with shopping list .
I hope you all will enjoy that.
I also found my The HerbShed original book that I published.
I will be adding some posts from that book as well.

Just a necessary PSA:
It is that time of the year when our volumes
of vitamin D are dwindling or non-existent .
I watch as the deer and wildlife creep closer to the
house and barns to find food & water in the cold.
I watch them struggle, not knowing that in a few days the
melt will come.
It is tough and hard.
We struggle too.
Emotionally and physically.
Please make sure that you are caring for yourselves.
Up your vitamin D
Hydrate
Epsom salt baths before bed
Move during the day
Do not let your mind lament
( the trending way to do that is watch
your socials all day, believe them when
they call you terrible names, watch the inexplicable
horrors that man can do to one another. )
Nothing on the internet is better than what you can find in your
life, in your *real* life.
Believe me when I say this.
I have been alive before this idiot box came into being
and life was sure filled with more happiness and less strife- for sure.
Despite all you may be hearing... life is precious and life is worth every breath we get,
every day we get.
Life is filled with tiny moments of beauty and Grace.
Yes, evil exists.
But so does good.
So does the righteous.
So does the knowledge that we are not the ones to
punish or shame or belittle ourselves or others.
Know that unconditional love exists.
It does.

With Valentines Day around the corner I want to share my favorite
candy recipe to make.
It is also the easiest.
It is not *unhealthy* as there are not a lot of shady
ingredients either.
( I have added a few dried cranberries to this too & they came out great)
You can use any nuts you like,
any chocolate too...even drizzle with caramel.
That hint of sea salt makes these perfect.
Knowing that I am not responsible to make everything work out,
to make justice happen, to ease everyones sadness is a great relief when I remember
that it is not my job.
The world is angsty and ugly.
Take a break my friends.
xoxo
