Sometimes when I go to the sports massage therapist
I cry. Not because she is hurting me but because she
released some long ago injury that has been so tight for decades
and I thought I would forever be like that.
The connection between our bodies and our minds is amazing.
Just like that, I am freed of underlying anxiety from a pain that
occurred long ago. Be it surgery ( I have had 6 major back and
abdomen surgeries, 4 facial surgeries not counting my tonsils)
No one ever explained that all the trama, adhesions and scar tissue
can form lasting painful areas.
In the past 2 years we have been working on them and
also the broken knees, ribs and other running related injuries.
I feel able and stronger which I would expect .
I never expected the release I have gotten emotionally though
or the alleviation of so much hidden anxiety.
Over the past 2 years I have had Reiki and lymph massage
done as well. Both with equal success on body & soul.
As I further my healing journey and education, massage' therapy has
been an important tool in my wellness toolbox.
The mind / body connection is a powerful one.
I can not help but think that with all of the strife
created these past few years, we could all use some of this
wonderful healing to find us a path forward.
Red light therapy, epsom salt baths, gua sha, grounding, homeopathic
remedies, sunlight, cold plunge, apple cider vinegar, caster oil,
pin dot glasses, walking, weights, whole & clean foods,
toxic free cleaning, forest bathing, probiotics .... and so much more
have all settled into a spot in our life as a way of healthy living.
Healing the mind, body and soul has been my life's work.
Not so much in a conventional way, but in a way that connects us to
the natural energies of this Gods green earth.
There is so much free and available healing that is not contained
in a bottle or syringe.
The Herb Shed was my baby .
{ both the brick and mortar and this blog}
It was my apothecary where I continued to learn and teach
others. But now I know so much more....
I am in a new era from which I can give back an immense amount of
knowledge and that is powerful & unexpected.
🌿
Back to massage ....
if you find just the right therapist for you....bravo!
Keep him/her as a valuable member on your health team.
I have THE BEST who was picked my God to heal so many broken
parts of my body.
{ actually I have been blessed to have had 2 }
It is the best investment by far I have made in my own health.
The steps I have gained in health both physically & mentally through
massage therapy have changed my life.
My new music track for my day consists of Fleetwood Mac
70-80's rock...Asia, Kansas, Boston.....
The happiness I feel listening to them is immeasurable .
Happy Friday friends.
May you have joy & love & happiness and most of all,
peace. Peace in your hearts, minds and souls.
Raven
xoxo
