Potato soup Monday.

Good Monday morning friends!

The start of a new week and for me at least the beginning

of a new season of goals.

Today it is still gloomy. We fared well during the Nor' Easter

the waterfall is raging. My garden job today it to pick all of the green

tomatoes and bag and crate them up.

That will help them to ripen and then I can freeze them.

Also on my list:

Take out my red light and set it up so I can switch it on

whenever I need it.

Tidy.

Just plain tidying makes me feel so good.

Laundry.

And give some extra love to Blueberry who is super moulting...

poor thing. The coop looks like a pillow exploded.

When hens moult, they can look ill, spend time alone,

stop eating ( not her issue  ,, ever! ) . I once had a rooster who would

lose his sight a bit during a hard moult.

Extra love today to Blue.

**************

I have received so much love ( not what I expected to be honest) on my last post.

Thank you.

It is a feeing feeling being able to say what I like.

Without the stress.

I credit all the work I have done through the summer.

Most of that work has dealt with calming a nervous system

that only really knew being alert all of the time.

( the story of my life)

It may start in childhood - for me it was the fear of

disappointing. Then it was the fear of loss...fear of pain,

fear of _____________.

You get my drift.

The root for me was fear.

Being ON all of the time, hyper-aware, gave me the temporary

feeling of being in control.

At what cost?

My health.

It manifested in my muscles always being tight.

For no reasons at all.

Guarding became my body's way of protecting something that may happen.

A tight body like that will have you thinking you are just

tearing apart at the seams.

Joint pain ( but really the muscles holding the joints together)

was dictating my life.

I have a plan.

I have a team.

BUT I must not do what I always have done...

push through pain, injure myself over & over in order to heal.

I must learn to be gentle with myself.

Be patient.

So when I wake up sore, I know that I have a plan

in place to ease me into my day. Not push through it.

With  warm water, and ice and movement and stretching properly.

By ignoring that stressful email.

By grounding and being aware of how I move.

It only takes a few moments but it works.

I am actually getting more accomplished.

So now I am off to start my week, my day.

Fall always has me wanting to nest.

To make my space cozy.

Add books and  bees wax candles, tea and cozy elements to the house.

Tonights supper...

P O T A T O.  S  O U P

My actual recipe is in my head and I will be adding the last of the corn on the cob

I purchased from my farmer until next year- sad. I have bacon left over from yesterday's breakfast.

Simple and so yummy.

Our turkey family is back again.

I love to hear them cooing and making their gobbling noises early

in the morning.

It used to freak me out, especially when they would get stuck behind our fence and make a ruckus.

But now it simply means that Fall is here and I get a few beautiful feathers for my autumnal

wreaths.

🐦‍⬛

blessings....
