Summer , summer & 2 new recipes!

Well... I never made that banana bread recipe

yesterday. I wonder if any one of you did.

My sweet husband threw them out.

He was trying to help me as I am a bit down from

my pulled muscle situation.

But I plan on making it as soon as I have icky bananas and as soon as I

am up and running back to normal.

My focus today is still healing and taking many breaks

to rest the leg but I have a downed chicken as well.

Blueberry, my HUGE English Orpington seems to have

injured her leg as well...poor thing.

She is eating and looks fine, however I need to keep an eye on her.

1/2 of a baby aspirin, arnica lotion and some rest should ease her back to health.

She is such a lovely girl .

What are you all up to this weekend?

Is it beach time, lake time or a chance to walk a new trail?

Will you grill out or pack a picnic ?

Perhaps take a drive and re explore your home town?

Whatever you do, be sure to be present.

I stopped scrolling when we take day trips.

It is joyous to be fully there...in the moment.

Detoxing from media is a wonderful way to recharge.

Even if you start by not looking at your phone unless

it rings.

We were never designed to see and process all of the

information coming across our screens.

Trending *Breaking News* means nothing anymore.

I also only subscribe to artists, cooks, performers that I love.

No celebrity news channels.

What we feed our eyes can change the way we see things.

Just as what we hear changes how we listen.

These are our moments.

Stay in them.

Because they will become our memories.

One exception to the media rule.....

I have to watch Grease at least once a summer.

I mean.....

who are you if you don't?

LOL!

Below is a typical bring to a picnic salad recipe.

But it does the heavy lifting at many BBQ's.

I would eat this as a meal...( gf of course)

Just throw a hot dog on top...done! LOL!

I add boiled eggs on top.

I make my boiled eggs in my steamer I purchased online for nothing.

It works fine , in fact mine is 5 years old now & I use it 3 times a week.

This is also on my radar this weekend.

Much better for my grands than the typical organic gummies.

Also, I would love these in my raw milk....just crushed up.

MMMM.

I am always excited for summer weekends.

They are the days that I think back upon with such happiness.

Why not return to a simple time where you weren't bothered by mindless

intrusions and truly be present...engaging with all of your senses.

I am sending you all so much love.

Have a wonderful weekend!

xoxo
