Friday.
Flannel Friday for sure...it is chilly out there!
But it is October 24th in New England after all!
In the past, it has been 75, I remember snowy Halloweens & we have had significant storms
at this juncture too.
As far as the weather is concerned, I have been watching several
weather sites that may be hinting of not one but two storms coming up
the coast next week.
That is my call to button up all the things I can in the old coop
making it as cozy as I can and finishing up all that I need to out in the gardens.
The new girls are starting to lay at just the right time too.
My older girls are still moulting and with the light loss they will
stop laying eggs for a bit.
Enough for baking season and to nourish us through till Springtime.
Kringle has been my snuggle bug these past few weeks as it gets colder.
I have said it before but it is seriously the truth:
These dogs have been my best friends.
Unconditional love~ shared both ways.
Today is bath day.
I only bathe them 4x a year as they stay pretty clean.
Poms do not need to be bathed as much as other dogs and they
rarely get a chance to get super dirty.
Like an expensive couch, I do spot clean them from time to time
trimming their nails and fur where needed.
They hate it.
Like me, they hate being fussed with.
LOL.
This weekend should be wonderful to get in those sweet
memories and moments we will think of all year.
From driving through the countryside to setting up corn stalks to
enjoying an afternoon in the sunshine window shopping,
it is a glorious time to just be.
I, most Sundays, make bacon.
The viking always says that it is the best smell to wake up to.
A slow, easy morning is just what he needs after working and traveling
every other day.
We all enjoy it....even the dogs!
These are the small happy moments that happen in my day that make me
feel wonderful and the people ( dogs) I love feel loved.
These small moments are way underrated.
A card, a call, a moment to pray for people in your life who mean something
to you is as much for them as it is for you.
I have begun to turn away from that which does not serve my
peace or happiness, not out of ignorance but for my health and wellness
and because God have given me such blessings.
Speaking of...........
I wonder if you would like to exchange cards again this year.
I understand some folks do not do it anymore but for those who do,
I would love to have your address and confirmation.
Just email me or message me on FB
{ links on my sidebar 👉}
and I shall send you mine.

Check out the Pioneer Woman's Pumpkin Truffle Recipe.
So easy & so yummy too!
Great to gift as well.
( I use natural food dye btw... here is the link)
Oh I treated us both to a homemade GF apple pie last evening
with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.
I have not had anything this decedent in months.
It tasted like the best pie that I ever baked.
I am not just apple slices and peanut butter.... but when I do
have a treat....it is a TREAT!.
I will be dreaming of it until Thanksgiving.
Off to tend the flocks!
Have a super Friday friends!
xoxo
