Today is my Vikings birthday.
I love him.
He is my heart.
It is a true miracle that he is still amongst us.
He is an amazing person with a huge life story to tell.
Brave , without fear.
An excellent grandpa.
A wonderful father.
He is my hero.
A stronger willed person you will be hard pressed to find.
Stedfast believer in what is truth.
Happy birthday my love.
You know, over the past difficult week I have
spent time watching how different folks react to
moments that I deem : before and after moments.
Things that change in an instant how you view life.
For me, I became deeply aware of how fragile life is.
I hold my family closer now.
I do not need some opinions from a news agency to craft a story for me.
I saw what I saw.
A life lost, a wife an instant widow, children fatherless and a bright
light to many people extinguished .
Clear to me it is an evil vs good moment.
If you have been paying attention you know exactly what happened.
Why do you think so many people are outraged ?
This is one of those before & after moments for us all... if you understand.
Some will never and I have lost the will to pay any mind to them.
Tasteless vulgarities are not new.
There have always been people who walked the line
but this was never about that.
It has and will always be the crafting of narratives so we
stop thinking for ourselves, we stop using our own
intuition for fear of what others may *think*.
Listen, if there are folks in your life telling you that
you are unworthy, un-American , unloveable because you
have a respectful difference of opinion, they are the issue
not you.
Tolerance is a gift these days.
I refuse to participate in all of it-
The attention seeking, the look at me - isims, the blatant
ignorance and loss of decency.
You do you, but leave me alone and also do not think
that I will participate in your nonsense.
People, it is time for us to show compassion, yes, always
but to also say no.
No. I disagree with you.
For some that is like a cold glass of water to the face.
Like toddlers they can not register it.
They need the control they have clawed over others
to give themselves relevance.
A simple no is enough.
Refusing to do what your heart and soul and intuition is telling you is
not of the light.
Return to the pure light for which you were crafted.
Feel it illuminate you from within.
God is light.
One spark of it can light thousands of others.
Last evening we spent date night after a full day of work eating sandwiches in the work truck,
driving to Home Depot to buy a new toilet.
It was wonderful.
If you have never been with someone who you can enjoy moments
like this with, then find them.
You have this one life friends.
Do not give one inch of it away to fear, shame, bullying or evil.
