Here we are, the day we all had to awaken an hour earlier.
How are you?
I find it so interesting that we keep this strange custom.
It comes as our lives naturally wake up, as we rise from
our Winters slumber.
The secrets of the seasons changing have given me this sweet gift.
The hands of my grandson upon the window above his bed.
I imagine him waking up and looking out the window to the small pond and
river. At the geese & ducks and ravens and deer....
Oh what a lovely way to wake up as a child.
I am so grateful for this.
I have never lost this....
The ability to appreciate the energies found in natural gifts.
I have small piles of stones and dried leaves and moss, feathers and crystals.
I do not believe that there is s separation between these gifts and our love of God.
God made them and he made me who has a natural
attraction for them.
As I get older I am understanding that the labels and boundaries
we have made as man are nonsense.
All the labels we use to further separate us are not healthy.
They are not what will heal.
What will heal is that the lines made between us and the natural world fade
and we understand that we all need one another to live in peace.
The ability to live this way is one reason why I have always loved Tasha Tudor.
She lived in a very authentic way, without any care of what others thought.
I am so excited to have gotten some seeds from her garden for my gardens this year.
The beginning of Spring starts in the weeks before a date created by man.
I see it in my chickens, the light dictates when they start to lay again-
at least the older ones.
I see it in the ways the animals start to nest and have their babies.
The owls setting in a snowy nest to have babies now.
The small green sprouts under the snow...ready for the light of the sun
to melt the snow.
My bees.... visiting the coops and the spilled feed and water on the first warm day...
I have started my cleaning and it started not in the big spaces this year but the small
ones that I may have never gotten to in the years past.
This year seems different for me. It feels as if Grace has stopped by and
created a feeling of peace.
That it will be long lasting is what I pray for...
Nothing feels more natural for me than to dig deeper into the nature around me
and find my purpose there.
I have been working to support the efforts of people trying to
thwart the building of huge commercial projects in my town.
My focus being the animals and their habits that are both endangered and threatened.
I feel called to protect my beautiful Bald Eagles that visit me here, the deer herds
and the bird that find solace in Stone Hollow.
Here is some information about the creatures awakening now.
I love the slow awakening from the woods and forests around me.
I have missed my sweet friends.
The red squirrels and the robins dance around the apple tree at my back door.
The bird houses filling again.
It makes me so happy.
May you find peace here, when the world is thrashing about and people's focus
that of what man wishes not of Mother Nature or God.
I want to keep my focus on what matters.
That of unlearning about the nonsense we have been taught
instead of remembering the
lessons that come naturally to us.
Thank you for visiting.
Bless you.
Raven
